More Cardinals...more Gold... SATURDAY CARDINAL COUPLE

Kelsi Worrell decided the more the merrier when it comes to Cardinals capturing the Gold in San she teamed up with UofL swimmers Andrea Kneppers, Hannah Magnuson and Andrea Cottrell to take the 4x100 free relay.

Worrell knocked her split out in 54.73...Kneppers did the 100 in 55.93, the other Andrea recorded a 56.79 and Magnuson covered the water in 57.36.

Coach Al has another good one headed 'Ville way in Mallory Comerford. She won the Under 18 200 free in an impressive 2:00.49.

Cardinal Couple: The Radio Version hits the airwaves at 11 a.m. this morning. We'll have Donald Trump, Rosie O'Donnell and Megyn Kelly (the Fox News chick) in the studio for a no-holds barred cage match.

OK...we're not going to have them in the studio, but me and Jeff will be talking women's sports and more!

We're on WCHQ 100.9 FM and also streaming live on the Internet at

Tune in, won't you?

  1. Oregon Ducks have a surprising 4 recruits in the top 77 2016 Hoopgurlz. What's going on up there?

  2. Looks to me like they finally got rid of the ancient mariner & anti-defense guru Paul Westhead and started to focus on overseas talent until Graves can elevate the profile of the program and lock down local kids. There's tons of WBB talent right there in Oregon but they have trouble keeping it home. Reference Shoni & Jude.

If they ever find the secret sauce for recruiting West Coast kids they'll be a force to be dealt with considering all of the Phil Knight money that can fill the uniform and shoe pipeline that seems so important to recruits these days.

Bright future for that program if they don't screw it up. Bringing the Gonzaga basic basketball tradition to the Ducks is a winner from a basketball fan perspective. Graves is a coach and a half.

Oregon WBB has a great tradition back in the day. It pretty much fell apart after Runge got fired. She is an interesting story in herself.

  3. I just looked at her LinkedIn site and lo and behold Runge balled & matriculated at UK. You folks already know all about her history.
