MEN'S SOCCER
I would like to start today's column by sending the men's soccer tram a congratulations on their #5 ranking and a 5-0 win over Florida Atlantic last night. I'm not sure if they were running around or swimming on the pitch -- bot they won. Mohamed Thiaw (PRONOUNCED CHOW) recorded a hat trick (abracadabra!) to double his number of goals on the year. It was Louisville's first hat trick since 2012.
The guys face #4 North Carolina Friday evening after the women's game at scenic Lynn Stadium.
WOMEN'S SOCCER

I'll let our soccer guru Case Hoskins hit that more later this week. I'll just bang the drum.
A two-for-one at Lynn Stadium to see the men and women's teams play sounds pretty awesome! The season wraps up soon for both squads so I'd advise everyone to get over there and enjoy this world-class facility.
WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
Asia Durr stole some thunder yesterday when it was announced the rising junior is a College Sports Madness Preseason All-American. She joined the 1,000 point club last season and set a school record with 119 - 3-pointers.
A semi-bold Jared prediction. I don't think she'll top that this year but I wouldn't be surprised to see another triple digit mark on threes again this season.
Also, speaking of Asia's -- Paulie is hoping to have his exclusive interview with Asia Taylor (Catching Up --Round II for Asia) this time from Australia. (It's Asia in the Land Down Under, not Paulie...) ready in time for Thursday's column.
SOFTBALL
Recently, I mentioned softball and their National Association Academic honors. Yesterday, we saw where 10 players from last season had a 3.5 GPA or higher, which is fantastic! Smart and talented.
Sticking with softball we should see a schedule released soon. Sidney Melton, who healthy and ready to go, by the way...was keeping me informed and they expect to know the full schedule around Halloween.
Let's hope this is a treat, not a trick and the opponents aren't too scary.
As I get back to changing twenties into tens and five, giving people money and reminding them of their account numbers -- please remember to stay positive and support your Louisville Cardinals. Be patient. Things will get better.
Go Cards!
