ACC women's basketball continues to show its dominance with six teams represented in the most recent AP Poll. They have the most of any conference in the top 25.
NC State leads the way, still sitting at #3. The Wolfpack are 13-0 and most recently defeated Virginia by 11.
Virginia Tech moved up a spot to #13 following a 30-point blowout win over Pitt. The Hokies are 10-2.
Notre Dame fell three spots to #16 after getting upset at Syracuse by five. The Irish remain without Olivia Miles and Sonia Citron and are 9-2 on the year.
Louisville climbed a couple spots up to #17 following a five-point win at Miami over the weekend. The Cards are 12-2.
Florida State stayed put at #22. The Seminoles are 11-3 after taking down Wake Forest by 12.
Syracuse sneaks into the rankings at #25. The Orange upset Notre Dame over the weekend to improve to 11-1 with their only loss coming to ranked Maryland in mid-November.
North Carolina dropped out of the top 25 but would be #26 in the extended rankings. The Tar Heels hung on to defeat Clemson by six to move to 9-4.
Miami is also in the receiving votes category and would be #32 in the extended rankings. The Hurricanes dropped their conference opener to Louisville to fall to 10-2. Their other loss came to ranked Baylor.
Almost all of the ACC still has a winning record as we start to approach the midway point of the 2023-2024 regular season. Conference play is sure to see plenty of exciting games and surprises.
