Spring Sports Media Day #2
Not too far removed from the first spring sports media day, which featured Louisville baseball, swimming, and men's and women's track and field, Louisville hosts the second spring sports media day today. Softball, lacrosse, diving, women's golf, and men's golf will be featured.
Softball
In 2023, the Cards went 36-20 last season and finished fourth in the ACC. They qualified for the NCAA Tournament and went to the regional in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Key losses: Taylor Roby (pitcher, designated player), Hannah File (first base), Korbe Otis (center field), Sarah Gordon (catcher)
Key returners: Daisy Hess (shortstop), Alyssa Zabala (pitcher), Ally Alexander (infield), Easton Lotus (second base)
Lacrosse
In 2023, the Cards went 5-12 and finished eighth (out of 10) in the ACC.
Key losses: Hannah Morris (attacker), Maggie Foster (defender), Rachel Lifson (midfielder)
Key returners: Nicole Perroni (midfielder/attacker), Sara Addeche (goalkeeper), Kokoro Nakazawa (attacker), Allegra Catalano (attacker), Negai Nakazawa (midfielder)
Diving

In 2023, the women's swimming and diving team (NCAA groups them together) finished second in the ACC and fourth in the NCAA Championships. Else Praasterink finished eighth overall in the platform diving.
Key returners: Else Praasterink, Lindsay Gizzi
We hope to have our very own Case in attendance for this one so we'll see what he might ask the coaches and players.
