Women's Fall Sports Media Day offered smiles and optimism -- SATURDAY CARDINAL COUPLE
PLAYERS, COACHES EXUDE CONFIDENCE AS SEASONS BEGIN
There was a positive air of confidence and optimism at Friday's Women's Fall Sports Media Day and after my two hours there I walked out of the Lynn Stadium Soccer complex fired up about Field Hockey, Volleyball and women's Soccer. Believe the hype, hope for the best.
After a box lunch from Penn Station (try the Dagwood sub next time you go...delicious) the media assembled in the conference room to hear from the coaches. Each made an introductory opening remark. Anne Kordes spoke of the highly competitive nature among her 17 volleyball players and the tough non-conference tests. Karen Ferguson Dayes
stressed the need to build off the momentum that the squad created at the end of last year's soccer season. Justine Sowry is incredibly excited about the talent and skills of her 2016 Field Hockey squad.
When we broke off to talk with the players, that same confidence and optimism continued. In typical Cardinal Couple fashion, we tossed in some silliness with our questions. Some of the responses are hilarious.
(Volleyball's Molly Sauer interviewed Worldwide..."What kind of shampoo do you use?")
We caught it all on the TASCAM DR-05 and will play it for you on today's THE CARDINAL COUPLE RADIO HOUR. We'll also talk to our newest edition of the Cardinal Couple staff...Case Hoskins.
Join us today at 11 am for the show. Link below:
