Catching up with Joe Hill
Longtime Cardinal fan Joe Hill recently got in touch with CARDINAL COUPLE and updated us on his status. Some readers may remember Joe as a frequent commenter on CARDINAL DOMINANCE and UOFL CARD GAME.
CC: So, How is retired life?
JOE: Things are going really well right now. We completed the sale of the tavern in January and I sold two of my chalets in Gatlinburg with it to the investors. I kept the third one for vacationing and such and I'm glad you and Sonja could join me and Connie here for a few days.
CC: Have you hooked up with a UofL fan club down in Florida yet?
JOE: No...we've been busy just trying to get things arraigned for our wedding in September and taking care of my Dad. I did follow the baseball team pretty closely thanks to the excellent coverage Shannon and Charlie provided on their sites...and thanks to you and Sonja...I stayed connected with Lady Cards basketball and softball.
CC: Will you be headed to Louisville for any football or basketball this year?
JOE: We hope to catch the UofL vs. UK game with my brother Howard and his wife and then back down to Naples for final minutes plans before we tie the knot. Hoops, I don't know...I'd love to see the Cards play USF if they are playing in Tampa.
CC: Thanks for the updates, Joe...and GO CARDS!
(Joe Hill was nice enough to invite CARDINAL COUPLE to visit him for several days in his chalet overlooking Gatlinburg. The nights are very pleasant here, we've had some great meals and a couple fun nights in Joe's old pub and gotten some hiking and sightseeing in also.)
