Georgia Tech is 19-3 overall and 10-2 in the ACC this season. The Yellow Jackets are fresh off a thrilling five set win over Boston College on Friday and a sweep of Syracuse on Sunday.
Outside hitters Tamara Otene, Bianca Bertollino, and Larissa Mendes lead offensively for Georgia Tech, with over 250 kills on the year as a trio.
Libero Paola Pimentel is the anchor on defense, totaling 375 digs with nearly 4.5 per set. The Yellow Jackets boast one of the top defenses in the nation, leading the ACC with 15.48 digs/set, more than a full dig over 2nd place (BC – 14.29). Tech’s 15.48 digs/set is the second highest among Power 5 defenses, behind only Kansas (15.89). Otene has made 261 digs this season, the second most by a Power 5 hitter and the most among the ACC.
Junior outside hitter Bianca Bertolino has managed 49 aces leading the league and 6th in the nation in aces per set (0.58). Otene and Bertolino both finished tied for the most kills in the ACC over the course of October, making 142 each.
A win over #3 Louisville would be the highest ranked home win in program history and the second highest-ranked win overall (at #2 Pitt – 10/10/21). Georgia Tech has had five top-10 regular season victories in its history.
This will be the 19th all-time meeting between Georgia Tech and Louisville and the first time with the two teams ranked inside the Top 10. The Jackets have not won in the series since 2016.

Tech has won at least one set against the Cardinals in each of the last three meetings, including an epic five-set match about one year ago on 11/11/22 where UofL reverse swept GT on the road. The Cards hit .284 on the match with two aces and 7 blocks.
Although only one of the heralded "killer B's" from past GT squads still remains on the roster (Bertolino) this is a powerful squad who has only lost to Georgia, Pitt and Miami. It should be a great battle tonight
Have a great weekend and
As Always
Go Cards

Just a FYI comment, Izela Arenas, daughter of NBA player Gilbert Arenas, makes the 4th committed recruit for next year for the women's basketball program.
