A strong performance against Dayton and Penn State helped three Cardinals earn weekly honors. Anna DeBeer, Elena Scott, and Elle Glock were named ACC Offensive Player, Defensive Player, and Setter of the Week, respectively.
In the five-set win against Dayton, DeBeer set a career high with 24 kills plus 11 digs. She followed that with a 10-kill, 11-dig double-double against Penn State. She now has four double-doubles in her career.
Elena Scott has 20 digs against Dayton and 18 against Penn State to earn a 4.75 digs per set average. She also tallied 12 assists in the two matches.
Glock posted a career-high 46 assists against Dayton on a 10.13 assist per set mark and totaled 81 assists in the two matches last week. She had 15 digs in the combined matches.
#2 Louisville improved to 8-0 on the season with the pair of wins. They have lost three sets- two to Dayton and one to Wright State in the opening weekend of the season.
The Cards host #21 Kentucky at the KFC Yum! Center on Wednesday at 8:00 pm This one is slated for an ESPN showing. They'll remain at the downtown arena when #5 Stanford visits town on Sunday for a 1:00 pm match on ESPN2. We plan to have in person coverage for both matches.

Hope they do well against UK and stay undefeated. Cats look to be weaker than normal, but ANYTHING can happen in a rivalry game.
