UofL Fall Sports Media Luncheon full of smiles and optimism -- Friday Cardinal Couple

KORDES, SOWRY AND FERGUSON-DAYES EXCITED FOR THE COMPETITION TO START

The first annual Fall Sports Media Day luncheon for UofL Volleyball, Women's Soccer and Field Hockey took place Thursday afternoon at the Lynn Stadium Soccer facility and it was an afternoon of positive energy, excitement and some fun and comical moments. 

All three coaches are excited for the season and action to be here and in opening remarks to the assembled media, each expressed the believe that their squads benefited from their first seasons in the ACC and would be competitive against opponents in "the best conference for women's athletics in the NCAA". 

As Volleyball's Anne Kordes put it:

"Four teams in the ACC are ranked in the top 25 and we're not one of them. We'd like to change that."

Justine Sowry reveals that there is a lot of lack of sleep this time for her but it's worth it because this is the time of year she lives for...the season.
