Never let it be said that errors don't happen on our CARDINAL COUPLE Radio Show. I gave Jeff and Jenny (and the listeners) a quiz on the show Saturday and I gave them an incorrect grade. One of the questions was:
"How many times had the UofL women's basketball team been to the Sweet Sixteen in the last six years ?"
They both guessed four. I told them five. I was wrong...for is the correct answer is (4). So, they called me out on it on Twitter and a few other of Jeff's digital devices. All in good fun.
I humbly apologize for the miscue and the corrected quiz scores should be:
Jeff 80%
Jenny 70%

Since Jeff will be checking in via phone this Saturday...I'll also offer an apology over the air when he calls in. I have decided to resign from both the web-site and radio show at the end of the week and go live in a Tibetan monastery... devoting the rest of my life in contemplation of belly button lint and studying the philosophies of Uncle Joe from Petticoat Junction, my new mentor. I have asked Sonja to equally distribute the meager funds in the CARDINAL COUPLE checking account to research for The Children Without Foreheads charity and a exacta wheel in the fifth race at Ellis Park on Sunday (5 over all)...if we hit, those profits go to Timmy the Intern's CHIMPS FOR A BETTER SOCIETY.
Basically, it will all come to a head in the final five minutes of the radio show Saturday. Never confuse our Chairman of the Board...the esteemed Don Paulie. It doesn't go so well.
I hope they continue the show and site. Somedays, it is fairly amusing. Especially on the days I'm not writing.

Say it isn't so, Paulie. Seriously, you are leaving CARDINAL COUPLE. Talk to me!

Hi, Blue Lou! I can't really talk about it right now but based on some certain activities and decisions made by our Chairman of the Board...the honorable Don Paulie...well. it ain't lookin' real good for me. We will reveal all on the Saturday Radio Show.
DeleteWhatever the outcome, I'm good with it. I've rediscovered the ways and teachings of Uncle Joe and I am at peace with myself and the world. My previous infatuations with the Frawley method seem so banal and trite now.
In Joe, we flow.

I want to know if haley bodner out of utah is still considering louiville lady cardinals
DeleteHi!
DeleteWE have no current, up-to-date information as of this afternoon on any changes on Bodner's status. that would indicate to us that, yes...Louisville is still on her list. iF WE FIND OUT anything additional, you can be sure we will cover it on the site or on the radio.
Sometimes, no news is good news.
The 2014 situation, as we discussed on the radio Saturday, is quite interesting. We figured that Walz might bring (4) players in. There are currently (3) who have verballed to Louisville. There are still some big fish out there who have us on their final lists but haven't committed verbally.
So, at this point, it becomes a game of chess.
Per Jenny...on Bodnar
DeleteI found her on twitter, am following her now.
Walz follows her, he was one of the first coaches to do so. none of the other coaches do, tho (no sam, steph or sam, or Cam for that matter).
tho, lots of coaches listed that do, IU, Xavieer, Gardner Webb, UNLV
Just to let those of you know, it is a parody. You can quit e-mailing, calling and asking why I'm leaving. I'm not. If reading the article above didn't let you know it was a parody-in-the-making, I'm sorry. But, tune into the show Saturday. IT plays out well.
