1-0 CARDS LAX FACE CINCY AT THE L.L.S. TODAY
After their 10-8 victory over #16 Denver to start the 2025 Louisville Lacrosse season, Scott Teeter's squad remains at the Louisville Lacrosse Stadium to host Cincinnati for a noon contest today. This one was originally scheduled forTuesday but weather conditons necessitated the move to Wednesday.
The Cards are now a ranked squad, being elevated to #19 in the USA Today poll. The visiting Bearcats are 0-1 on the season, falling to visiting Vanderbilt 13-8 on Feb. 8th. Today's match will be televised on the ACC Network.
In their last meeting , in 2024, the Cards travelled to Nippert Stadium in Cincinnati and came away with a 18-13 win. Cincinnati is in their inaugural season in the Big12, after previously competing in the A.A.C. The Bearcats were picked to finish fourth in the preseason Big 12 Coaches poll.
Last year, UC had a 10-7 record overall and was 2-4 in the A.A.C.
They are led this season by a trio of standouts. Camryn Callaghan had three goals against Vandy. The junior attacker is out of Upper Arlington, OH. Lauren Ottensmeyer is a graduate student attacker is a transfer to UC, who spent her first two seasons at Youngstown St. Alexis Rich has started 51 of her 53 games at UC. .
Lauren Figas leads Louisville this season with three goals. Negai Nakazawa has two goals as does Rian Adkins
The Cards will embark on a three game road trip after today's game...visiting Ohioi State, Marquette and California.
