Hannah fires five as #5 Louisville Lacrosse beats Bearcats 11-7 -- Wednesday Cardinal Couple

KOLOSKI KEY IN LAX WIN

The University of Louisville Lacrosse squad traveled to Cincinnati Tuesday afternoon on a perfect afternoon for Lacrosse and emerged winners over the Bearcats 11-7...aided by the first half scoring frenzy from sophomore Hannah Koloski. 

She and Kaylin Morissette combined for eight of Louisville's 11 scores in downing a pesky UC squad that was resilient on the attack. 

Morissette provided the first two points for the Cards before Koloski exploded for four goals in a twelve minute span that gave Louisville a comfortable 6-1 advantage with seven minutes remaining in the first half. The teams exchanged scores...UC getting a questionable net-finder with no time left on the clock to set the halftime scoreboard at 7-3 Louisville. 

Koloski picked up her final goal six minutes into second half action and the Cards weathered a UC rally that cut the lead to 9-6 with 12 minutes to play. Kelli Gerding and Heidi Smith added goals for Louisville to create a 11-6 advantage with 5:37 remaining....as Louisville improved their record to 10-1 on the season. 

Morissette continued her quick draw artistry...controlling 10 of the mid-field faceoffs and Brittany Read ended with three saves in goalkeep. The Cards scored on six of nine free position opportunities and out-shot the visitors 26-14.

Virginia Tech is next up for the Loucrosse warriors...who were slowed by a stomach bug making its rounds on the squad. Saturday 1 p.m. at the LLS for the ACC matchup.

Louisville Softball takes two...LAX at Duke...Radio Today! -- Saturday CARDINAL COUPLE

CARDS CONQUER COCKS AND FLYERS IN LOUISVILLE SOFTBALL CLASSIC

The skies cleared in Louisville, KY on Friday and the Softball Cards cleared the bases multiple times in wins over Jacksonville State and Dayton in day one of the Louisville Softball Classic at Ulmer Stadium. 

Admittedly, it was supposed to be day two...but Louisville contest against the Illinois State Redbirds was cancelled early Thursday due to the deluge that belted the Belknap Campus. 

LOUISVILLE 6 - JACKSONVILLE STATE 3

Louisville got some late inning heroics from "the Syd's" and Maryssa Becker and Megan Hensley teamed up in the circle to give the Cards the three-run win over the Gamecocks. 

UofL took an early 1-0 lead in the first when Sidney Melton beat out an infield single and scored on Lillie Goetz's sacrifice fly. After "the false state" came back to tie it, the Cards forged ahead in the third 3-1 when Jenna Jordan scampered home on a Becker single and Becker found home on a Goetz double.

The see-saw battle got tied at 3-3 in the top of the fourth by J-State but Louisville responded in the bottom half of the inning when Alison "Mike" Szydlowski singled and scored on Melton's single...creating a 4-3 lead and a "Szdy-Sid" run and RBI combo. 

Szydlowski singled home Goetz in the fifth to make it 5-3 Cards and added an insurance run in the sixth when Hensley singled home pinch-runner Jessica Adell for the 6-3 final.

LOUISVILLE 14 - DAYTON 2

The Cards came out swinging in the nightcap...aided by Morgan Meyer's five RBI's and scored a season high 14 runs in the five-inning grounding of the Flyers. 

UofL put two on the scoreboard in the first when Melton singled and scored when Hensley reached base on an error. Hensley touched home when Jordan singled.

The flood gates opened in the second when the Cards added nine runs on six hits and four walks. Highlights included Meyer getting a three RBI triple in the inning and Sarah Lopesilvero picking up her first two RBI's of the year with a single. It was 11-0 and Louisville was not done yet with the bombing and Megan Hensley was mowing down the Flyers in fine fashion...

Three more Cardinals touched them all in the fourth...Meyer plated Brittany Sims and Jordan McNary with a double to the fence and scored on a Becker double.

Dayton rallied for two runs in the fifth but the run-rule ended the game. Hensley (9-2) threw all five innings...allowing five hits. 

Louisville plays Eastern Kentucky today at noon...weather permitting...as ex-Cardinal great Whitney Arion returns home as one of the Colonels coaches.

LACROSSE PUTS 7-0 RECORD ON THE LINE AT DUKE TODAY. 

The short history of the rivalry between Duke and Louisville in Lacrosse adds another chapter today in Durham, NC when the #5 Cardinals roll into town for a 1 p.m. matchup against #15 Duke. 

The Blue Devils lead the series 3-0...downing the Cards twice last year...10-8 at the LLS during the regular season and 14-7 in the ACC Tournament. 

Keys for Louisville will be the continued hot sticks of Kaylin Morissette, Cortnee Daley and Hannah Kolowski (17 goals each) and the firm defense of goalkeeper Brittany Read
and teammates Steph McNamara, Emily Howell, Blair Bernhardt and Courtney Boyd.

The Cards are coming off an incredible week where they defeated Northwestern 10-4 and Notre Dame 10-9 at the LLS. 

Duke split a pair last week, falling to Georgetown and getting their first ACC win against Virginia Tech.

Louisville Lacrosse ranked #4 in Inside Lacrosse Poll -- WEDNESDAY CARDINAL COUPLE

LAX CARDS ATOP ACC AT 7-0

We've watched this season as the Louisville women's basketball team got a preseason #8 ranking, struggled early but has eventually climbed back to that #8 position in the latest polls. 

Move over hoop Cards...someone else on campus wants to share that Top Ten platform with you and it's Kellie Young's lacrosse squad.

There was an open media day for Louisville Lacrosse (7-0) at the stadium yesterday...as the #4 Cards prepare for a weekend trip to face #15 Duke (3-3).

Several television stations sent sport reporters. A couple of sports websites were there besides CARDINAL COUPLE. It possibly may have been the biggest (in terms of numbers) interviews Brittany Read, Kaylin Morissette and Cortnee Daley have done since they've been on the Louisville campus. It had to be one of Kellie Young's largest group interviews as well. They all performed admirably. 

When you get a collection of sports reporters who know very little about the actual sport respond to an open call for media interviews...you're going to get a lot of generalized questions focusing on the mindset instead of the mechanics and a few "idiot boy" queries...but the publicity and recognition is always good for the Lacrosse and all women's sports programs...so you take the good with the bad. For a few blessed moments, egos were set aside and attention was focused on the interviewee...not the interviewer. 

So what is going on that has made Louisville a top five contender in lacrosse? Kellie Young sees this: 

" A ranking really doesn't matter. It's a compliment to the program but we have work to get done and we need to take this game by game. What's working? Most important is our teamwork. Kay on the drive...she totally invested in it." 

Ask Cortnee Daley what is making a difference this year and she'll tell you:

" I definitely think it is our confidence, we do so much extra work...and knowing in our mind that there's no doubt we can take down any team. 

Kaylin Morissette, coming off an ACC Offense Player of the Week Award looks back at the last week, where the Cards knocked off Northwestern and Notre Dame...two teams that have rung up an 8-0 record against UofL Lacrosse before the games at the Louisville Lacrosse Stadium: 

"Last week was incredible. Such a huge confidence booster for us. Just showing ourselves just how good we can be...that's really exciting for us. Everyone is invested in this team. We're all sisters on this team. I feel I could have a conversation with any of my  teammates...from the most serious topic to something totally irrelevant.  We're all very close...from seniors to the freshmen."

Huge in the win over Notre Dame was goalkeeper Brittany Read..who is now focused on Duke:

" I'm very excited and I think Duke is a very good team and they can show us anything. It really doesn't matter what team it is that you play or where they're ranked...any team can show you anything anytime of the game and you have to be ready for that."

One game at a time. Team unity and closeness. Hard work. Being prepared. The priorities and principals are in the right place for the Louisville Lacrosse squad. The road tough ahead with Duke, Syracuse, North Carolina and Virginia...all ranked in the top 15. One at a time, all in good time. 

The Cards were preseason ranked seventh out of the eight teams in ACC Lacrosse. As of today, though, they might to look at changing the references to the sport to:

Lacrosse downs Denver 14-3...Softball splits...WBB faces Boston today -- SUNDAY CARDINAL COUPLE

LACROSSE GOES TO 3-0

One of Louisville Lacrosse head coach Kellie Young's objectives this season was to create a more balanced scoring attack. Objective met as eight Cards scored in a 14-3 win Saturday over Denver at the Louisville Lacrosse Stadium. 

Louisville went on a 7-0 run to finish the first half after falling behind to Denver 2-1 eight minutes into the contest. 

Kellie Young explains what the Cards did to erase the deficit. 

"We were just following the scout. We got a little bit anxious to start the game...too nonchalant about a team that was very feisty, so the adjustment was to get back to the scout. We called the time out, reminded them of what the plays were supposed to be and the goals started to come." 

Hannah Kolowski and Kaylin Morissette scored twice on the run and Louisville had a 8-2 lead at the half. The Cards out-shot Denver 14-8 in the first thirty and held a huge 10-1 advantage in draw controls thanks to Morissette.

The Cards pushed the lead to 10-2 when Morissette and Cortnee Daley connect to open the final stanza. 

Daley knew the challenge ahead: 

"They're a good team and we knew the challenge was to take it to them for 60 minutes. Defensively we had some huge stops and going into attack we were able to capitalize on those stops." 

Morissette took a hard body hit early in the second half and was down for several minutes before being assisted to the sidelines. She did return to action later in the game and appears to be OK.

Brittany Read had eight saves in goal in the win. The Cards pushed the lead to 13-3 after Julia Wood picked up her second goal with 8:55 remaining and the rest of the contest was played with a continuous running clock. 

UofL travels to Nashville next for a Tuesday afternoon matchup against Vandy.

SOFTBALL SPLITS IN ACC/BIG 10 CHALLENGE

Louisville got great pitching performances from Maryssa Becker and Megan Hensley Saturday in Raleigh, NC...losing 4-3 to Nebraska and downing Wisconsin for the second day in a row 5-0.

NEBRASKA VS LOUISVILLE

In the opener, the teams were locked in a scoreless battle for three innings before Becker went fence in the top of the fourth to put the Cards up 1-0. Nebraska would counter with three runs in the bottom half of the inning. 

 Morgan Meyer scored on a wild pitch in the fifth and the Cards tied the contest in the top of the seventh when Morgan Hart hit her first home run of the season with two outs. Nebraska would touch Becker for a double and two singles, though in the bottom of the seventh to walk off with the win. 

WISCONSIN VS LOUISVILLE

Megan Hensley pitched six innings of no-hit softball in the afternoon game and Becker drove in three runs to lead the Cards to the shutout win. 

Louisville scored runs in the first and third to grab a 2-0 lead and in the fifth inning, Becker knocked a two-RBI double on a attempted intentional walk where the pitch got within her swinging range. 

Hailey Smith scored on a wild pitch to complete the scoring in the sixth. 

Hensley gave up a single in the seventh for the Badgers only hit...Wisconsin did load the bases with two outs but Hensley delivered her only strikeout of the game to end the threat. 

The Cards will face Nebraska again at 10 a.m. today to complete the challenge.

WOMEN'S HOOPS VS B.C. 

The Louisville women's basketball team looks for their 22nd win of the season when they face Boston College today at 1 p.m. The broadcast will be shown on BCEagles TV, which is available at the Boston College website. It is premium content, so be prepared to shell out a few bucks for the feed. 

BC got their second ACC win of the season on the road Thursday by knocking off win-less Clemson 67-50.

It's a tough end of regular season stretch for the Eagles, who will face Syracuse and Notre Dame after the Cardinals leave town.

Louisville Softball splits in Islander...Lacrosse defeats Temple -- Saturday Cardinal Couple

BAT CARDS SPLIT ON OPENING DAY

The Louisville Softball squad got good pitching on the opening day of the Islander Tournament...winning 7-0 over Sam Houston State and losing 1-0 to Iowa Friday.

The Cards got a two hit, five shutout innings in the circle performance from freshman Megan Hensley...who also went 4-4 at the plate...to down SHS in the opening game. Louisville struck for five runs in the second, including a home run from sophomore Nicole Pufahl. Hensley homered in the top of the third to make it 6-0 and a Jordan Verbrink double plated Jordan McNary for the final score.

Maryssa Becker tossed two innings of relief for the Cards...allowing just one hit.

Against Iowa, Madi Norman got the start and delivered 1.1 scoreless innings before giving way to Becker. Iowa scored the lone run of the contest in the third on a Louisville fielding error and double from Whitney Repole.

Louisville had runners in scoring position in the first, sixth and seventh innings but could not push a runner over the plate. Becker struck out nine in 5.2 innings of relief...allowing just two hits. 

The Cards take on Iowa again today at 11 a.m. and will face host Texas A&M Corpus Christi around around 1:30 p.m.

MORISSETTE GETS HAT TRICK IN LACROSSE 8-5 WIN

Louisville Lacrosse overcame freezing temperatures and a second half Temple rally to down the Owls in Philadelphia 8-5 Friday. Kaylin Morissette had three goals for the Cards, who go to 2-0 with the win.

Morissette had two of Louisville's first three scores and the Cards got two net-finders from Hannah Koloski to take a halftime lead of 5-1 over Temple. Cortnee Daley got her second score of the game to start the second half and Louisville also got scores from Julia Wood and Morissette to hold a 8-3 lead with four minutes left in the game before the Owls scored twice in the final 3:30 for the 8-5 finish.

Brittany Read had four saves for the Cards...who had a  17-7 shot-on-goal advantage over Temple. 

Louisville was scheduled to travel across town to face Duquesne on Sunday but the match has been cancelled due to weather concerns. The Cards return home and will face Denver at the Louisville Lacrosse Stadium Saturday, Feb. 20th at 1 p.m.

THROWING IT AWAY

Cardinal women's track and field throwers continue their successes this winter in the Samford Invitational.

Dolly Nyemah took the weight throw with an impressive 21.25 meters and Emmonnie Hensderson set a meet record in the shot put with a toss of 16.12 meters.


IN MEMORANDUM

 A University of Mississippi athlete died in a car crash near Holly Springs on Thursday evening.

According to Mississippi Highway Patrol, the crash happened in Benton County near the intersection of US 72 and MS 7.

MHP said 23-year-old Taina (Ty) Laporte collided with a Freightliner truck operated by a 63-year-old man from Alabama. He was not injured in the crash. She died at the scene.

The volleyball and track star was in her senior season at Ole Miss.

“We are shocked and deeply saddened by Ty’s death,” Ole Miss Athletics Director Ross Bjork said. “Our thoughts and prayers are with her family, her teammates, coaches and our staff during this difficult time.  Everyone in the Ole Miss family offers our deepest sympathy to everyone who was touched by Ty’s amazing and infectious spirit.”

"Anytime someone in the Ole Miss community passes away, especially someone like she was, it really hurt all of us as a family," student Taylor Karr said.

Louisville Lacrosse opens season with 14-6 win over Marquette...WBB faces Notre Dame today -- SUNDAY CARDINAL COUPLE

Wood, Daley and Balog with 3 goals each in LAX win

The Louisville Lacrosse squad opened the 2016 season with an impressive win Saturday afternoon over Marquette 14-6 at the Louisville Lacrosse Stadium. A great afternoon for Lacrosse...with the temperature in the low 50's. A new press box to watch the action from. A new look for this version of Louisville Lacrosse. Head Louisville Lacrosse coach Kellie Young was impressed with what she saw: 

" I think we got some of our jitters out of the way today and had some really impressive moments on both ends of the field...and some moments that I think film will help us grow on...but Marquette is a disciplined team and I think our team overcame that and played really well." 

One of the Cards that overcame some early jitters was goalkeeper Brittany Read. In her first career start, the Gibbsboro, NJ sophomore had an impressive game in the circle. Coach Young was impressed with what she saw: 

" She was amazing. I'n so proud of her. Not just for the saves but in clearing outside the crease. Very proud of her effort today." 

UofL fell behind 1-0 to start the contest but rallied with a 4-0 run that featured goals by Kaylin Morissette, Cortnee Daley, Julia Wood and Jillian Balog. Marquette climbed to within two after a Amanda Bochniak score...but the Cards closed out the half on a 3-0 run when Kelli Gerding, Wood and Daley found the back of the net...giving UofL a 7-2 halftime advantage. The Golden Eagles actually had a 10-8 edge with shots on goal but Read had eight saves in the first thirty minutes.

Louisville held an 8-4 advantage early in the final half but went on a 6-0 run with goals by Wood, back-to-back scores by Balog, Gerding, Hannah Koloski and freshman Meghan Siverson. Comfortably ahead 14-4, the Cards did allow two late scores by the Golden Eagles but win with ease 14-6.

Wood and Balog, who had a combined two goals last year were a nice surprise for fans familiar the 2015 Louisville offense...but Young saw the upcoming potential:  

"We knew this fall Julia Wood would have a big presence for us this year. She gained some confidence from last year and my pre-game message to her today was 'Remember you're an attacker' and she did that today. Jillian has just been coming on the last weeks and is so confident. She handled it well today." 

Kudos to the Louisville defense of Read, Heidi Smith, Emily Howell and Steph McNamara who repeatedly turned away Marquette scoring attempts. We asked Read if there were a few nervous moments before the season opener: 

" I wasn't too nervous...I was just excited to play and have fun...I know our defenders always have my back. We're a team. We talk, communicate. We have a job to do and we get it done." 

Read finished with 12 saves in the contest and Kaylin Morissette continued her mastery of the draw control...getting 12 and Louisville winning the flips at midfield 17-5. 

Louisville goes on the road with a visit to Philly for their next two...squaring off against Temple Friday and Duquense Sunday before returning home for a Saturday, Feb 20th hosting of Denver.

WILL IRISH EYES BE SMILING? 

There's been a ton of anticipation for the Sunday Louisville women's basketball game against #3 Notre Dame and we certainly hope it lives up to the hype that has preceded it. 

We'll offer five things here that we think Louisville needs to do to claim sole place atop the ACC Conference.  

1) Own the boards. That's not as hard as it may seem against a UND squad who is only out-rebounding foes by a + 4.9 margin this season. When you own the boards, you are setting up scoring opportunities, preventing second-chance points and playing aggressive defense. The Cards have a + 5.7 edge against teams this season in rebounding. 

2) Avoid staggering out of the gate. The Cards have has less than impressive opening minutes in their last two games. They overcame the shaky starts against UNC and Wake Forest but dropping behind early to Notre Dame could prove fatal. 

3) Score at the Charity Stripe. Free throw shooting has been a very positive aspect of Louisville women's basketball as of late...78% against Wake Forest and 86% against UNC. That needs to continue against the Irish...who shoot only 69% from the charity stripe. They foul opponents an average of 19 times per game. Each free trip will be important.

4) Hit and stop the three. That may be a tall order against a UND squad that is holding opponent to 29.5% from behind the arc. The Irish also lead the nation in three-point accuracy. Asia Durr is hitting at a 41% rate from trifecta range this season...but the Irish counter with Madison Cable at 46.8%, Arike Ogunbowale's 44.8% Marina Mabrey's 42.9% accuracy and Michaela Mabrey's 40.6% prowess. We hope Mariya Moore is feeling it from the deep. Anything Briahanna Jackson, Arica Carter and Taja Cole can add from three range will be greatly helpful. 

5) Score inside. Duke had success gathering points in the paint against Notre Dame and Myisha HInes-Allen is capable of putting up Azura Stevens type numbers. Cortnee Walton will need to be productive on putbacks and the easy follow ups, lay ups and drives to the hoops simply have to go in.

It will be the Cards toughest test of the season so far, make no mistake about it. A litmus test to see exactly how far this team has come since the nervous month of November. Notre Dame is 9-1 on the road and that loss came to UConn. After that, only Duke has stayed within a double-digit loss when hosting Muffet McGraw's team. 

They have has scares. Ohio State visited and lost by just three. Oregon State lost by just one in the Purcell Pavilion.

A huge crowd could really bolster Louisville's chances on Super Bowl Sunday...so make every effort to attend if at all possible. $3 tickets for a match-up like this? Several hours of entertainment? Treat yourself. Head down to the river. The operating mode of the Louisville women's basketball team this year has encompassed one game at a time and win the day. This would surely be a good day to win...

Louisville Lacrosse opens today vs Marquette...Radio Today -- SATURDAY CARDINAL COUPLE

#15 LACROSSE RETURNS FOUR TOP SCORERS AND SOLID DEFENSE

It might be a little chilly for the start of the 2016 Louisville Lacrosse season, but the LAX Cards look to get off to a red-hot start against the Marquette Golden Eagles today at 2 p.m. in the Louisville Lacrosse stadium...located on Floyd Street. 

A Louisville Lacrosse stadium that now has a press box. We are overjoyed and excited for the game (and the shelter...)


Head Louisville lacrosse coach Kellie Young returns top scorers Kaylin Morissette, Hannah Koloski, Cortnee Daley and Kelli Gerding...plus a solid returning defense lineup...headed up by juniors Steph McNamara and Emily Howell. If there is a question about this squad, it is in goal...where reserve Brittany Read replaces Ashley Peacock...who transferred to UMBC (University of Maryland-Baltimore County) in the off-season.

Read did see considerable action for the Cards in 2015 and Young describes her as "being more active inside the crease and has super-quick hands". 

Marquette comes off their second straight 5-12 season and participates in the BIG EAST. They return nine starters...headlined by defenders Elizabeth Goslee (All-BIG EAST Second Team in 2015) and Kayce Haverstick...who is definitely a nominee for Worldwide's All-Name team. 

Young expresses optimism about the campaign ahead. She revealed to CARDINAL COUPLE a couple of weeks ago: 

"We are more dynamic this year and we'll have a few players running behind the cage...like Gerding, Jillian Balag and Madison Hoover. They'll bring a different look to our offense and we expect to see more balance."

Fair or foul, in or out? The lines of demarcation vary from sport to sport -- Tuesday Cardinal Couple

PLAYING LINES MEAN DIFFERENT THINGS IN DIFFERENT SPORTS

Note: Kansas State has announced the addition of Megan Deines to their roster

If Asia Durr dribbles the ball on the baseline in a game here at Louisville over her next four years, a sharp-eyed referee will blow the whistle and award possession to the opposing team. If she were playing baseball for Dan McDonnell and hit a ball over the left field fence and it touched the foul pole and skirted left of it, though, into foul territory...she would be awarded a home run.

That scenario (not for Durr...obviously) happened last night in Louisville Baseball's 4-3 loss to Cal State Fullerton. 

Cal-Full batter David Olmedo-Barerra lifted a deep shot toward the left field foul pole to start the 11th inning last night and the ball appeared to go foul as it passed the left field pole.

The umpire signalled home run. A replay showed it touched the pole on its way out of the field, though...and that is a home run...even though it went foul after hitting the pole. 

Oh, those crazy lines and boundaries in sports! If Louisville lacrosse's Kaylin Morissette hurls a goal attempt at the net and it bounces off the pole and goes wide...nice try but no goal. Put Louisville football place-kicker John Wallace on the field and hitting the post is not enough on a field goal try...the ball must go through the uprights. If Louisville quarterback Reggie Bonafon scrambles with the ball and gets the pigskin over the goal-line, it is a touchdown...even if it rolls out of bounds immediately after breaking the plane...unless he touches the side-line first. 

Side, end-zone, plane, bag and pole. Lions and Tigers and Bears...oh, my! 

Here goes Taja Cole taking a three. Uh, oh...foot was on the arc line...it's just a two. What a serve by Katie George!!!...but the ball touched the back line. Bad thing? Nope. Ace to Katie! 

Lines and women's sports...they mean different things. No lines in golf that we know of (except lining up a putt) and lines in rowing and track signal the lane you are in or the end of the race. If Emmonnie Henderson hurls the discus down the field, she has to be careful not to step out of the circle or throw it over the out-of-bounds lines. 

Then there's the whole scenario of lines, circles and arcs in field hockey, soccer and lacrosse that can create unassisted penalty shots, fouls and changes of possession. We'll save those for another possible article...and it will be a long one if we do attempt it. 

The "out-of-bounds" line...for the most part...means just that. If the ball or player touches it, the ball or player are usually considered out-of-bounds. Except in volleyball, softball and lacrosse. And, in certain circumstances...even that has two different rulings. 

I need an aspirin. Or a video replay...

1) Basketball's Mariya Moore is at the free throw line for free throws. She shoots and hits the first one. Her left foot goes over the line as the ball is in the air. It touches down over that line before the ball goes through the hoop. Count the point or not? 

2) Softball's Jordan McNary lays down a slap bunt and the ball slowly rolls down the first base line starting in fair territory. She reaches the bag before the ball rolls foul. The ball doesn't reach the bag before it goes foul. Base hit or foul ball? 

3) Volleyball's Janelle Jenkins goes flying after a ball returned by the opponent and she puts it back into play after she crosses the out-of-bounds sideline. Play on, point for Louisville since the ball went out of bounds or point for the opponent since she touched it out-of-bounds? 

We'll draw a line in the sand, mark our boundaries, toe the line, cross the plane, stand beyond the arc, take to the stripe, enter the circle and hit the sidelines until tomorrow...
