WALZ ONE OF 10 SEMIFINALIST FOR COACH OF YEAR
Jeff Walz has been named one of ten semifinalists for the Naismith Coach of the Year.
Others on the list are Jennie Baranczyk (Oklahoma), Kim Barnes-Arico (Michigan), Nikki Collen (Baylor), Kelly Rae Finley (Florida), Jeff Judkins (BYU), Wes Moore (NC State), Kim Mulkey (LSU), Dawn Staley (South Carolina) and Tara VanDeveer (Stanford).
For Walz, it's the fifth straight year he's been named as a semifinalist for the award. The Cardinals are 25-4 on the year, finished 16-2 in conference and are fifth in the latest AP Poll and USA Today poll behind South Carolina, Stanford, NC State and Baylor.
Seven women coaches and three men make up the list of ten.
The Cards and Walz await Selection Sunday to see what region, rank and dates they'll play in the NCAA Tournament.. The show will be televised March 13th on ESPN at 8 p.m.

LACROSSE TRAVELS TO CINCY FOR WEDNESDAY MATCH
The LAX Cards face the Bearcats in Nippert Stadium Wednesday in a 4 p.m. match that'll be shown on ESPN+
Cincy is 3-4 on the year and has won their last two, against Kent State and Akron.
The Cards played UC in Cincy at Gettler Stadium in 2020, a game Louisville won 16-11. In 2021 the two faced up in the Louisville Lacrosse Stadium, a 13-5 win for Louisville.
Louisville is 14-0 all time against the Bearcats.
Hannah Morris leads Louisville with 24 goals this season and Nicole Perroni has 20
