Clemson scored all their runs in the first three innings nd Louisville could just manage three hits in seven innings against Clemson pitcher Abby Dunning pitched the complete game to take Clemson to 19-8 on the season, while the Cards fell to 19-7 this year. UofL was getting runners on the bags early but unable to get any of them to home plate.
The Tigers pieced together three singles in the first inning to take a 1-0 lead.
Louisville had their best chance to score in the third inning went they managed to fill the bases with just one out. Dunning got out of the jam, though...getting a full count strike out and an infield pop fly to end the inning.
The two squds meet for the series finale tomorrow at McWhorter Stadium for a noon start. It'll be on ACCNX.
NCAA WBB BRACKET PROJECTIONS
Autumn Jackson jnows her NCAA WBB better than most. I like to look at her projections mote than Charlie Creme's. Here's what she came up with for the 2006 Tournament:
REGION I -- FT WORTH
The top seed here is projected to be UConn. Vandy is the second seed, followed by Ohio State and then West Virginia.
REGION ii -- SACRAMENTO
UCLA get the top seed projection here. LSU is projected to be the secon seed...followed by the Cards in thethird seed and Maryland as the #4.
REGION III -- FT WORTH
i guess I'm still not used to having two cities for regions instead offour, but that's the way that it is. Texas is the top guess for Fort Worth 2, followed by Duke, Michigan aand Oklahoma.
REGION IIII -- SACRAMENTO
The #1 seed here is probably going to be South Carolina, with Iowa second, TCU third and Monnesota at #4.
It'll be on eSPN tonight at 8 p.m.
