As we hinted on our most recent Cardinal Couple Radio Hour Podcast, Jazmine Jones did not remain a free agent for long. The Connecticut Sun announced that they have signed the Louisville alum.
Jones spent all four years of her collegiate career with the Cards and only missed the NCAA Tournament her final year when the tournament was canceled due to COVID-19.
Jones was drafted 12th overall in the 2020 WNBA Draft by the New York Liberty where she played up through the end of last season. She averaged 10.8 points per game and 4.1 rebounds per game her rookie season.
Per Sun policy, the details of the contract were not released. It is unclear the role and playing team Jones will have as the season is approximately 1/3 completed.
At 10-4, the Sun currently sit atop the WNBA standings.

Jaz got in that game, too. Love it when UofL WBB greats are on the court in the WNBA. .
