Louisville Women's Basketball releases ACC Schedule -- Volleyball Tonight! ...Thursday Cardinal Couple
CARDS START WITH FLORIDA STATE
Nothing like putting a young team to an early conference test, right? Jeff Walz and the 2015-16 women's basketball team will receive that challenge by starting the ACC schedule against last year's NCAA Elite Eight participant Florida State on Jan 1st. in the KFC YUM Center.
A strong ACC that certainly has its challenges and the Cards get a stiff one right off the bat against Shakayla Thomas and Sue Semerau's Seminoles. The schedule lessens a bit after that with a trip to Georgia Tech on Jan 3rd. and a visit from Virginia Tech on Jan 7th. but Duke comes in on Jan 10th. and then a three game road trip follows after that.
We'll have much more on the ACC slate and the expectations as the season gets closer. The Cards ACC slate is listed below and it looks to be another gauntlet.

VOLLEYBALL STARTS ROAD TRIP AT UC
Fresh off the three-game sweep in the Active Ankle Challenge at Cardinal Arena over the weekend...Louisville Volleyball heads to Cincinnati tonight for the renewal of the annual rivalry between the former C-USA, AAC and Big East foes.
The Bearcats are 7-2 on the season but have been facing a less than formidable schedule so far...still in a rebuilding status and have suffered defeats to Northern Iowa and Eastern Michigan.
UofL looks to build on the recent success of sweeping the Active Ankle Challenge last weekend. The Cards are 5-3 on the season. Erin Fairs, JAnelle Jenkins and Maya McClendon have almost 300 kills between them so far this season and the impressive play of libero Molly Sauer would have to make the Cards the favorite to win their 11th straight meeting against the Bearcats. Louisville leads the all-time series against UC 40-11. The Cards swept the match 3-0 last year in the KFC YUM! Center.
Our illustrious columnist Worldwide is making the trip across the Ohio River to witness this one and he'll have a full report on what he saw for the Friday CARDINAL COUPLE column. After this one, its to Lexington and the Cats on Sunday.

Cards play Virginia and Pitt twice and that is a break for them. Go Cards and good luck in Football tonight. I'll be watching on TV.

Maybe not. Joe. The Cavs did beat the Cards in Charlottesville last year pretty convincingly and Faith Randolph does return.
