STICK CARDS HELD SCORELESS IN CHAPEL HILL
Field Hockey is rapidly being reminded that the ACC Conference is pretty unforgiving. Louisville fell behind after 25 minutes of scoreless play and -- to use a term -- the hits just kept on coming in a 5-0 Friday evening loss to #3 UNC.
Louisville head Field Hockey coach was not pleased:
"When you are playing against a team like Carolina you need to bring your best and play as a team. We were far away from that and they made us pay in a big, big way."

North Carolina had a 6-4 shot advantage in the half.
UNC continued the ground assault in the second half. They scored 15 minutes in and added another ten minutes later to win convincingly...out-shooting the Cards 9-4 in the final 35 minutes.
Louisville (5-2, 0-2) will face James Madison Sunday in Chapel Hill.
