MISTAKES, TURNOVERS PLAGUE UofL OPENER

I KNOW...we promote the joy and excitement of women's sports here at UofL...but since it's a slow Sunday morning and I'm currently on the bus headed back to Louisville from Atlanta...let's talk a bit of football. Worldwide will fill ya in on the volleyball in his article today. 

Auburn 31- Louisville 24. It could have been much worse. This thing was 31-10 with 10 minutes left in the game. Credit freshman Lamar Jackson for going ballistic to get the Cards within seven before the clock ran out.

I like the freshman. I also wonder why Will Gardner nor Kyle Bolin didn't play. And, what was up with that Three Stooges routine to open the game. Curly snaps to Moe instead of Larry and Shemp runs the wrong fly pattern?

This may be the toughest opponent the Cards play this season (Seminole fans may argue that...) so maybe it's good to get the loss out of the way and concentrate on beating two pretty good opponents in Houston and Clemson.

And, my total score prediction of 48 was pretty close.  Unfortunately my 28-20 Cards pick was nowhere close. The Georgia Dome is old and they're building a new one next to it. You need to sign a loan agreement to get a beverage and a dog. Atlanta traffic is three times worse than Louisville could ever imagine.

And whoever that bozo was who wanted to fight our bus driver...it not a good idea to challenge a guy twice your size and completely sober.

Definitely stay away from MARTA unless you like getting totally confused and on the other side of town from where your hotel is.  

Louisville, I'm coming home.
