VB Sweeps Clemson 3-0 -- MONDAY CARDINAL COUPLE

Good morning readers,

We are heading into the Thanksgiving holiday week so the 'Xmas tree doesnt go up till after Thanksgiving' crowd can give it a rest already.   We're going for another real tree this year and Lulu is looking forward to helping me do that this week  :D

As far as work goes, we're pretty much at that point where its gonna have to wait for the new year... ha ha.  If my boss is reading this, i'm just kidding.

Jared and I made it out to the Yum Center on Saturday for the unfortunate loss to that blue team we don't like.  It was a nice day to head downtown now that we are both feeling healthy again.   We left the arena feeling a little nauseated though...

It's a short work week so let's get to a short recap of the VolleyCARDS who secured another dub !!

Louisville managed to earn a 25-16, 25-12, 25-21 sweep at Clemson on Sunday afternoon.   They are on a 10 match winning streak and move to 22-4 on the season, 16-2 in the ACC.

Against the Tigers, Payton Petersen had 13 kills, hitting .393 with 13 digs and two blocks.   Cara Cresse added seven kills and a match-high nine blocks. Kalyssa Blackshear hit .400 with seven kills and three digs. Setter Nayelis Cabello had three kills, 35 assists and five blocks.  Clemson totaled 2 blocks in the match and committed 24 errors.

The Tigers were able to secure a single point lead on the Cardinals but it was very short lived as they gave it right back to UofL with 2 back to back errors committed early in the third set.   Louisville maintained the lead the remainder of the way.
