Schedule update for Softball series vs BC -- FRIDAY CARDINAL COUPLE

FRIDAYS WITH DARYL

Good morning readers.. its safe to say spring has sprung in the Ville.  It is a little bit of a bummer in town this weekend as the annual Thunder Over Louisville festival was cancelled for this weekend due to last week's storms and the flooding at the waterfront.  Bummer!

The Louisville Cardinals have headed north for an ACC battle with the Boston College Eagles.

There was a schedule change on Thursday afternoon to the following adjustments...

Friday 4/11 2pm double header and Saturday 4/12 1pm available on the ACCNX.
The Cardinals come into the matchup with a 20-17 record and a 3-9 ACC record. The Eagles sport a 17-19 overall record with a 3-9 ACC record.

Louisville leads the series 14-8 and 8-1 at home. The Eagles took the last series 2-1 with UofL taking the Sunday meeting. Like the Cards, BC is coming off a midweek loss to a local rival squad.

Senior outfielder Jordan Stephens boasts a 0.324 batting average on 35 hits, including six home runs, to lead the team in all three categories.

The Eagles are lead by two pitchers, freshman Bailey Kendziorski And sophomore Kelly Colleran splitting the duties in the circle. After beginning her college career with Boston University, Colleran got the start in the circle in the midweek rivalry match with BU and took the loss after giving up 2 runs on 8 hits and struck out 6 batters.

Miscellaneous

After the school announced a contract extension for men's head basketball coach Pat Kelsey the school also approved an extension for lacrosse coach Scott Teeter.  Congratulations to them.

As Always,
Go Cards
