Volleyball Sweeps Temple; Moves to 10-0 in AAC
Cards tore out to a 10-4 lead early but Temple fought back to within one at 14-13. U of L responded with a 9-1 run to go up 23-14. Temple scored on three U of L hitting errors before falling 25-18.
Louisville Field Hockey won their final BIG EAST regualr season match Friday night in Trager Stadium...an overtime affair against Providence 3-2
The game was tied at the half 2-2. After a scoreless second half...they took it to OT. Jennifer Pels produced the game winner on an a assist from Alyssa Voelmle 11 minutes in the over-time.
With the win and ODU's win over Rutgers, Louisville is still in contention for the outright BIG EAST title. If Temple defeats UConn tomorrow, Louisville finishes first, because of their earlier win over ODU earlier in the season.
I'll say it for Jeff's brother.
Join the Lady Cards below.
(We only hope they can move on the court in games like they can on media day)
Saturday Breeders Cup Selections are now posted over at my website:
Wasn't too bad a day yesterday...after counting the money I entered Churchill with and then counting it when I got home, I had $130 more than I started the day with.
I hope to do better today. Nine Breeders Cup races and a full Churchill card. I'm taking two ink pens.
We're on the air this morning at CARDINAL COUPLE RADIO on Crescent Hill Radio. 11 a.m.
We'll review news and events in women's basketball, field hockey, soccer, volleyball and more and I'll have a quiz ready for whoever shows up.
Join us, won't you?
