Happy Saturday, dear readers. We're in the interesting period of the calendar when nothing is actually happening due to the holiday scheduling. The Cards took care of business at home on Thursday and they'll look to do so again on Sunday. Other sports aren't quite into the swing of things in 2026, so it's a slow day in the world of Louisville women's athletics.
It's not a very slow day in the rest of the news sphere, though, and it's somewhat difficult to find the joy and excitement sometimes these days. Is 2026 feeling very "new" yet to anyone out there? Alas, I'll endeavor to stay more positive here on these pages.

We're still awaiting resolution of Paulie's appeal to the powers that be at UofL about Cardinal Couple's status on media row, and we're hopeful for a late Christmas present soon.

Case
So let me get this straight. Paulie's X account gets hijacked. Something are written in it that werent by him. Someone at UofL read it and without inquiring with him, throws Cardinal Couple off media row at UofL sporting events. Paulie's photographer strikes a deal with UofL and quits Cardinal Couple so he can still take pictures for another site. .X tells him that they traced the hacker's I.P. address back to a public library in Lexington. Paulie deletes X.
ReplyDeletePaulie emails Walz and UofL president for help in getting a representative back in there. Paulie receives news that his kidney disease has gotten worse and he is scheduled for the Cleveland Clinic.
Media row and Walz post game presser is nearly vacant after SMU.
I'm no wizard here, but whoever is in charge of media relations at UofL is incredibly hard-hearted and cruel to beat up on a dying man.

All I can say is that it saddens me that my hard working staff suffers because of one person's witch hunt on me. I pray my visit to Cleveland Clinic goes well.

There is a judge that will have us all account for our actions on earth and ...yes, many faiths, particularly Christianity, believe in a divine judgment where people are held accountable for their earthly actions by a divine judge (often Jesus or God) to determine their eternal destiny or rewards in heaven/afterlife, with key biblical references like 2 Corinthians 5:10 stating we all face the judgment seat of Christ to receive what's due for our deeds, good or bad, while concepts of judgment for deeds also appear in Judaism (reward/punishment) and Hinduism (Yama, God of Death/Justice).
I can only hope to be received lovingly in MY FATHER'S arms and reunite in heaven with my parents and friends that have gone to heaven.
Until then, I will fight the good fight and not bacck down tl the spotlight goes dim. On days like today...heaven feels very close.
