We will miss him, but Jared Anderson has left Cardinal Couple as a writer and photographer. I do not know the exact details why, but...I can logically assume that there was an option presented to him to stay with us and lose his UofL media on-site credentials or to dis-associate himself from us and still be able to shoot photos for the other sites he represents. This was not a decision he or us had much say in.

Wow. Hard to believe that Jared would ditch you guys.

Yeah...seems it's open season lately on the 69 yr. old site owner who is on dialysis, has cardiovascular and pulmonary problems who now uses a walker. I know a lot of readers liked our photos.

Public institutions are forbidden from restricting press access based on the content or viewpoint of a journalist's reporting or because officials dislike the coverage. Denying credentials or access for such reasons is a likely First Amendment violation. In cases, of hacked accounts it would be wise to check wih the source before taking any restrictive action.

Sue the bums, Paulie! In our litigations-based society, you could make a bundle. Thousands of social media accounts get hacked daily. For an organization to ban attendance based on a social media remark from a hacked account looks to be something that a lawyer would lick his chops over. I am no legal expert, but it might not hurt for you to explore, press charges or find a mediator.
ReplyDeleteJared bailed on your huh? He always seemed to be a flighty type and UofL flunky
ReplyDeleteYour better off.
Although I do not see the logic in punihing the writers who not direcly involved in this, all I can say again is that my mission here is to discuss the joy and exciteent of UofL women's athletics. I'm pretty sure the UofL athletics media office can't stop me from doing that. Their failure to respond to my report that my X account being hacked (and it has been traced back to a Lexngton I.P.) has convinced me tto get off X.
