"Cut !! Let's start again, Packer !!"
You know that women's basketball isn't too far away when the ACC Coaches and selected players gather in Charlotte, NC at the Westin for the annual Media Day.

Jeff Walz is there, along with senior Jazmine Jones to do interviews and answer questions about the squad for the upcoming season. Their will be a live coaches segment from 10 a.m. - noon that will be shown on the ACC Network.

Walz will also be on the network's Packer and Durham show at 9:20 this morning. He and Jones will be taking part in interviews all day and should be a fun thing to watch this morning.

#ACCTipoff is the link to follow on social media. You can watch the entire Media Day on the ACC Network .

WSOC HOSTS WAKE FOREST TONIGHT

The #19 ranked and 9-1 Louisville women's soccer team heads to the Lynn Stadium pitch tonight to take on ACC foe Wake Forest tonight.  Game time is 7 p.m. and it will be shown on the ACC Network.

The Cards return home after a couple of ACC .road wins against Syracuse and Boston College. Louisville is tied for second in the conference standings with Clemson. Both are 2-1 in ACC competition. Florida State and North Carolina are tied for first with perfect 3-0 marks in ACC play

Wake Forest comes to Floyd Street without a win in their last five games. A streak that they're looking to shake. The Demon Deacons are 5-3-3 on the season and 0-1-2 in ACC games.

The Cards look to duplicate or better last year's 2-1 win over WFU in Winston-Salem last year. Overall, the Deacs hold a 3-1 all-time series lead against Karen Ferguson Dayes and her kickin' Cards.

SOFTBALL SUCCESS

We often talk about the term "student-athlete". Here's a shining example of that .

The University of Louisville softball team earned Easton/National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) National Academic Team honors for the 2018-19 season as announced by the organization Wednesday.

Louisville was one of 140 Division I programs recognized after posting a 3.157 team grade point average during academic year.

Additionally, five student-athletes were named Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes after achieving a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher. The following players represented Louisville on the list: Rebecca Chung, Celene Funke, Megan Hensley, Sidney Melton and Paige Schindler

Keep it up in the classroom, Cards!

Have a tremendous Thursday!

  2. Woke up in time to see Walz. Only slip up I saw is when he referred to the Ga Tech transfers as Liz Balogun and Elizabeth Dixon. Pretty sure that was supposed to be Elizabeth Balogun and Liz Dixon, but I guess he was probably a little nervous.

I like watching Packer and Durham. The "Deb and LaChina" show was great until they brought lil' Ms. Muffett on. Turned it off then.
