Louisville women's golf in Blessings Invitational -- WEDNESDAY CARDINAL COUPLE

CARDS IN SIXTH PLACE GOING INTO FINAL DAY AT BLESSINGS INVITATIONAL

We haven't done a lot of coverage on the Louisville women's golf team this year but we see that they are in sIXTH place in the Blessings Invitational.

The Blessings...an event in Fayetteville, Ark...is an event that invites 10 teams to participate in the three day tournament. This year's participants are Arkansas, BYU, Kansas St. , Kent St., Louisville, Maryland, Mississippi St., Missouri, UNC Greensboro and Washington St.

The teams go 18 holes each day for three days and Arkansas (the home squad) is blowing the competition out of the water hazard with a two-day score of -7 under par.

In second is Kent State, at +20 over par. The Louisville squad is +33.

Bailey Burkett leads Louisville at +4 over par. Burkett is a sophomore and is out of Kansas Ciry, MO. where  she attended Liberty North high school.

Veronika Esposito has the next lowest score for the Cards at +8 over par. Madison Moman is+9 over par, Millie Cottrell is +12 over par and Thienna Huynh is +14 over par as the squads go into the final round Wednesday.

Here's hoping for easy putts and lots of birdies for the Cards today!
