Miscellaneous sports notes -- FRIDAY CARDINAL COUPLE

FRIDAYS WITH DARYL




Good morning readers, Im gearing up for a vacation next week so the guys will have me covered then but for now Ive been keeping up with some national headlines.  

Softball championship next week starting Wednesday through Friday for a best of 3 game series.

Thursday night's matchups resulted in a 3-0 Texas win over Florida and Oklahoma beating Tennessee 4-3 where Florida and Tennessee with face off in the Elimination bracket.  The two SEC powers have not faced off yet this season.  Texas Tech beat Ole Miss 1-0, while Oregon fell to UCLA 4-2.  



5 WNBA games tonight

UofL fans will want to tune in for the Emily Engstler and the Washington Mystics (3-3) vs Liberty at 7:30pm and Dana Evans and the Aces (2-2) face off with the Sparks at 10pm.  The Dallas Wings and Myisha Hines Allen faced off last night but ultimately fell to the Sky to move to 1-5 on the season.  MHA finished with 10 pts, 6 assists and 4 rebounds in 25 minutes on the floor.
