Busy Day for Track and Field -- SATURDAY CARDINAL COUPLE

Emily Scott to Jump on Final Day

Today is the last day of the four-day NCAA regional qualifying event, and it will be busy for Louisville women's track and field competitors. Among them will be ACC Champion Emily Scott, who will look to join her fellow championship teammates, Synclair Savage and Gabriela Leon, in qualifying for the NCAA Championship event.

The Cards will have six entries in competition today, as they'll have two in high jump along with entries in the 100M dash, the 400M hurdles, the 4x100M relay, and the discus throw. Discus is the first event on the schedule for today, and it will get underway at 1PM. Emily Scott and Soledad Jean are in the first flight of jumpers with the high jump event scheduled for 2:30. The best way to keep up with today's results is the UofL Track and Field social media accounts, or you can follow along with the official NCAA schedule and results here.

As we've mentioned over the last couple of weeks, we'll have this week off again. With Forecastle Music Festival going on (shoutout to Jack Harlow for representing HVL last night), me heading up to Indy, and the rest of the crew off doing who knows what, we'll take another break for the holiday weekend. We'll be back and better than ever (well, no promises) next week.

(caution...Jack gets "a little salty" with is language in the clip -- so don't "click it" if that kind of thing offends you or you have minors or grandma around.)

Until next time, Go Cards!
