Louisville LAX 2015 Schedule -- Friday Cardinal Couple
SEVEN OPPONENTS IN TOP 10 TO PLAY UOFL
If Kellie Young and the Louisville Lacrosse team wanted a challenging schedule for the 2015 season...they got what they wished for.
The #12 ranked LAX Cards will face seven of the top ten in NCAA Lacrosse this season and enter ACC Conference play.
Things start off against Cincinnati on Feb. 15th. Canisius, a 2014 NCAA Tournament participant visits on Feb. 21st. The Cards take to the road for a game against #20 Denver on Feb 28th. and then return home to battle Duquesne on Mar. 4th. and William & Mary on Mar. 7th.
ACC play begins at #7 Boston College on Mar. 11th. An Elite Eight team from last year. #8 Duke visits Louisville on Mar. 14th. and Vanderbilt stops by on Mar. 18th.
Faye Brust and company hit the road for four in a row starting with a visit to Va. Tech. The road swing also includes stops at Longwood, #5 Northwestern (who bumped the Cards from the NCAA Tournament last year) and American.
April features a visit from #2 UNC on the 4th. Louisville travels to #6 Virginia on April 12th. The final home game is against #3 Syracuse on April 16th. and will end regular season play in South Bend against #10 Notre Dame on April 19th. 'Cuse was the runner up in the NCAA Tournament last year and the Irish were in the Sweet Sixteen.
The ACC Tournament is in Charlottesville this year starting April 23rd. With eight team participating in ACC Lacrosse, there will be three days of action.
Louisville returns a ton of talent from last year's 16-4 team that won the BIG EAST and advanced to the Sweet 16. IF they can accomplish the same this season, Kellie Young deserves Coach of the Year...

Wow....I have to admit that I don't follow lacrosse much, but I had no idea that the ACC is so loaded. I'll try to attend a few games this season.
ReplyDeleteIt's like basketball with a smaller ball, less scoring and sticks...plus much more mayhem. Go once and you get hooked.

Yes, the ACC is certainly loaded in Lacrosse. Its really kind of over the top, actually. By far and away the most intense lacrosse competition in the country. Its not uncommon for the lacrosse final four to have 3 ACC teams.
DeleteIt really is great fun to watch, as a game, too, as Paulie mentioned. Though with this schedule heavily loaded with home games towards the front of the season, you may want to get some extra cold weather gear to come watch.
Hilarious Paulie !!
