Rowing survives scare...Field Hockey #5...Soccer Thurs Night! -- Wednesday Cardinal Couple

MEMBERS OF THE LOUISVILLE ROWING TEAM RESCUED TUES. EVENING

According to the UofL rowing team spokesperson, Garett Wall, during their practice the teams boats began to take on water after. He says a front came through creating high waves, and filling the boats with water.
There were 18 rowers and two boats out on the waters Tuesday evening, and all of the students were first-year rowers.
With the help of coaches who were riding along with the team on motorized boats, all of the rowers made it out of their boats and on shore to safety.
Louisville rescue crews were also of assistance, helping bring the teams sinking boats back to shore.
