Give A Hoot, Don't Pollute...Clemson has the right idea
MAKING MONEY OUT OF TRASH -- A NOVEL IDEA
One of the ugly things about any sporting event...men or women...is the amount of trash left behind afterwards in tailgate and parking areas. It's a chore to clean up, haul away and dispose of.
Clemson University has found a way to make money on waste during events. They collect it, separate it and recycle bottles and cans.
Here's the best part, the money goes to the students that
do the collecting. Clad in sporty uniforms and rolling around in golf carts...they distribute garbage bags to tailgate areas and then come by and pick them up several hours after the event is over.
The school's social and fraternal organizations reap the rewards...the campus stays clean and all it costs the university is a fleet of golf carts and garbage bags.
Might want to look this one over James Ramsey...even though the areas around Papa John's Cardinal Stadium or the Lynn Stadium aren't all university owned...cleaning up messes is popular with every landowner...Cardinal or not.
