Lacrosse moves up to #19

A big round of applause for the University of Louisville women's lacrosse team. The Cards are now ranked #19 in the nation. Louisville is one of four Big East teams in the top 20. An incredible acheivemnt for a program basically still in its infancy. The lacrosse Cards are still in the middle of a month long road trip and won't be back on the home turf until April. They defeated Binghamton in their last game 19-8.

Former Lady Card basketball great Angel McCoughtry has been selected as one of twenty players on the 2010-12 USA Women's National Basketball team. McCoughtry recently finished playing in Europe and will join her USA teammates as they prepare for the 2010 World Championships and the 2012 Olympics. The squad is coached by Connecticut head women's basketball coach Geno Auriemma. He knows a thing or two about winning. Just as long as it isn't C. Vivian Stringer...
