Daryl here for a quick check in in-between the festivals in town to preview the other big event going on in town tonight. Volleyball between UofL / UK downtown will draw a great crowd as well!
The Cards (7-1) and the Cats (5-2) will face off at the KFC Yum Center tonight. First serve is scheduled for 6pm and you can catch this one on ESPNU.

Louisville has won the last 4 matchups with the last one being a 3-1 win for UofL in Lexington. Of the leaders in that match, only Cara Cresse returns and she had 9 blocks for the Cards. Cresse was named the Atlantic Coast Conference Defensive Player of the Week after leading the Cardinals to the championship of the Bluejay Invitational last week.

UK is returning 3 leaders from last years’ battle… Brooklyn Deleye (17 kills), Molly Tuozzo (17 digs) and Jordyn Dailey (2 blocks). DeLeye leads the attack for UK and is 3rd in the SEC and 9th in the country in kills per set (4.88). Senior Eva Hudson gives the Cats another offensive weapon, averaging 3.67 kills per set.
The Cats have lost to #1 Nebraska and #7 Pittsburgh, but have beaten (at the time) #5 Penn State and #10 SMU.
