Louisville WBB to Face Arizona Nov 12th -- WEDNESDAY CARDINAL COUPLE

CARDS TO TRAVEL TO SIOUX FALLS TO FACE WILDCATS

We don't usually get Louisville WBB scheduling news in July, but, it was revealed yesterday that the WBB Cards will make a trip to Sioux Falls, SD to play national runner-up Arizona on Friday, Nov. 12th. in an event titled The Invitational .

The game is part of a one-day doubleheader event . South Carolina will also be in attendance and will take on host South Dakota. All four teams participated in the 2021 NCAA Tournament and pre-season rankings have the Gamecocks at #2, the Cards at #6 and South Dakota at #25 .

Sioux Falls is the hometown of incoming Louisville WBB freshman Sydni Schetnan, so the Cards should be in good shape for ideas for local dining and sight-seeing options. The games will be played at the Sanford Pentagon, part of the 160,000 square-foot Sanford Sports Complex. It'll be Louisville WBB's first-ever appearance in the facility and the game will be broadcast on "the ESPN Networks"

Details for tickets will be available at a later date with details to follow. The basketball venue holds around 3200.

"We are extremely excited to tip off our season at the 2021 Sanford Pentagon Women's Basketball doubleheader," said Louisville head coach Jeff Walz. "To be able to compete against a tremendous Arizona team, as well as be a part of such a prestigious showcase for women's basketball, is an incredible opportunity for our team and program. As each month passes, we hope that the best fans in the country, Card Nation, will also be in attendance.

  2. They do have height, six transfers coming in and an excellent coach

    They aren't ranked? I'm surprised.
