Arthu...Hello Cardinal Couple friends and readers!

Arthur here.

Just based on what I have seen in the eight ACC teams beside Clemson I have seen "live" this year, Louisville, followed by Notre Dame, are the best two teams in ACC women's basketball this year. The Cards held us to our lowest ACC point total and Notre Dame is the only team to put up 100+ against us. Unfortunately, both those games were here at Littlejohn Arena and back-to-back.

We shouldn't have lost to UNC, but Paris Key and her gang had a great shooting night against us. NC State wasn't that impressive but they played well at the end of our game up there against them and pulled out the win. I have no explanation for our loss to Syracuse. It was early in the conference schedule and the players maybe weren't fully bought in to Amanda's game plan and philosophy.

If the ACC Tournament were to start today, Clemson WBB would be a #7 seed, and sit out Wednesday. On Thursday, we would get the winner of #10 vs #15 (currently Virginia vs. Pitt) from Wednesday. Then, slated against the #2 seed on Friday in the quarterfinals, which could be almost one of five teaams right about now. Personally, I want Miami. We beat them once already at Miami.

The Cards shouldhave beated Miami but y'all could hit the braod side of a red barn (no offense, please), Hof had the game of her life and you were fouling the wrong player at the end (Cornelius).

Walz blundered, in my humble opinion, against Miami. Fuehring was off, didn't get better and Dunham was playing well. Your boy has an ego, though (ha, ha) and he'll never admit that. Also, Asia 1-10? What was going on there? A moving basket/backboard? Over-inflated basketball?

Y'all be fine.

Got our ACC Tournament package. We're going with a couple we tailgate with at football and he got us a very sweet two-room deal at the Residence Inn. $89 a night, right off I-40. Plus the ACC package was four tickets and four $5 Bojangles Gift Cards for just $14 a couple.

Paulie, I'll bring my pink pom-poms you you can easily identify where I am sitting.

Off subject. Paulie, you know a Tom Sykes in Haw River? A friend of mine remembers him from his insurance days. That man made some BIG money on investments and land purchases plus the state paid him well for cutting through his property to build the new Hwy 70 is what I heard.

Your friend
#1 Clemson fan
Arthur
Greer, SC
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8945676324950180664.post-52674144665962506922019-02-19T15:24:07.482-05:002019-02-19T15:24:07.482-05:00I'm not so sure about Oregon dropping out of a...I'm not so sure about Oregon dropping out of a number one seed. They lost a close game on the road to a top 12 team, and their second-best player didn't play most of the game.

At this point I think that Cards must win out (including ACC tourney) to get a #1 seed.Mike Dhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09245010119792005218noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8945676324950180664.post-31381648342782082172019-02-19T12:16:07.900-05:002019-02-19T12:16:07.900-05:00I'm gonna wait until the next reveal and see w...I'm gonna wait until the next reveal and see where we are at then. We're a one seed with games left until then. They should be improved this year. Miami has (at) VT, FSU, GT and (at) NC State to close regular season conference play. All four are capable of beating Miami, but I suspect that the biggest chance goes to FSU coming into their place and getting it done. They did beat Miami back in the end of January (by 4) at Tallahassee and held them to 58 points.

Paulie Cardinal Couplehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10565155435705858363noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8945676324950180664.post-68280008566356963102019-02-19T11:26:30.284-05:002019-02-19T11:26:30.284-05:00Sleepy ol' Curtis checking in. Paulie, I know you've followed her since high school. Is this the year she makes an impact in the WNBA?

Go golf! Lauren Hartlage in the lead and she's NOT going to give it up!

I suspected the WBB squad would drop to 4 or 5 in the AP but it really doesn't matter currently. Paulie, you see Miami losing to anyone the rest of the way in ACC play?

Curtis "Nothing like unloading a freezing trailer at 3 a.m." Franklin

Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
