Walz wanted no holds barred defense last night and these two, plus Story and Asia at times...weren't doing what he wanted. Vails played lights out. She took more body shots last than a sorority girl on spring break in Daytona.

We swear, one time it looked like WVU's Dunning was trying to turn Sherrone's head around Linda Blair - Exorcist style.

Repella's throw down of Harper should have got her tossed. All three refs missed it? And the UofL crowd made me think that it was a men's game. I believe our Lady Cards will be hard to stop once they realize they need to drive towards the basket for a shot or the foul when teams play tight defense on them.

Shooting 3's are great, but I believe they need to draw some fouls to loosen up opposing defenses. Moreover, I love the fact that Miss Vails isn't afraid to drive to the basket or shoot the jumper.

Last but not least, we still need to increase our rebounding avg. in order to compete in any tournament, inwhich I hope we get it together. Or at least block out more!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8945676324950180664.post-91798554661364694062011-02-14T06:57:22.984-05:002011-02-14T06:57:22.984-05:00You should always play a person that has heart, dr...You should always play a person that has heart, drive and determination and will not Roll her eyes when talked to by the coach. Shelby is all that and a bag of chips in evidence when she comes to the floor. She does not quit...while Tay doesnt even have Shelby's speed to dribble out of trouble. Kansas game, but outraged Oregonians and Native Americans throughout the Pacific Northwest mounted a protest that would have made the Egyptians proud, and ESPN2 quickly switched over to the game that everyone wanted to see.
Memo to Liz Repella: You got Schimmel'd!
Props to Vails on great defense and some strong post moves - something I'm guessing Walz has been looking for all season. Still needs to plant her feet and stick her butt out b/4 going up for the rebounds, though.
Looked to me like Tay and Slaughter got into Walz's dog house. From a physcial standpoint, there's no way Harper should be playing in front of them. Thoughts?
--PDX PhilAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
