UConn and ND appear to be locks and assuming that Stanford gets by Cal again on Sunday and the Sun Devils later they'll win out and are probably a #1 seed lock too.

Duke has five remaining games they could easily lose...Notre Dame twice, UNC twice and Maryland has a chance to beat them too. Actually NC State might knock them off too. If some of that happens and the Cards run the table with the exception of UConn we've got a legit shot at a #1 seed.

If we end up a #2 seed we'll probably be in UConn's bracket and will be looking for another "game of a lifetime" in the regional. Should be an interesting February and March.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8945676324950180664.post-86009887001256530012014-01-31T11:52:47.534-05:002014-01-31T11:52:47.534-05:00The conference split is 3 at home and 4 on the roa...The conference split is 3 at home and 4 on the road, which is expected...since it was 4-3 last season. the non-conference slate away bias is primarily because several of the teams UofL is facing cannot afford to travel. THE Cards can and are looking for quality games.

PaulieCardinal Couplehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10565155435705858363noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8945676324950180664.post-29982446598364528972014-01-31T09:47:28.864-05:002014-01-31T09:47:28.864-05:00Lacrosse sounds like they have high hopes this yea...Lacrosse sounds like they have high hopes this year. It is a shame they only have six home games and 11 on the road. What is the reasoning behind this?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8945676324950180664.post-7930384446761807812014-01-31T09:08:41.206-05:002014-01-31T09:08:41.206-05:00A # 1 seed in the NCAA tournament is still possibl...A # 1 seed in the NCAA tournament is still possible and really is needed in order to insure our not being placed in the same bracket as UConn.
# 3 Duke and # 4 Stanford both had close calls last night.

No. 3 Duke squeaked by, again.
