If anyone bothered to check out the link Paulie put up they would see that the author had a "Top 10 Worst Fan" space on his site with 9 other pieces that ripped 9 other fan bases. I read them all and thought they were pretty humorous also. Try relaxing a bit. Jeez.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8945676324950180664.post-79515953342601355802013-10-25T06:23:42.584-04:002013-10-25T06:23:42.584-04:00U a bunch o winey little boitches. paulie put up s...U a bunch o winey little boitches. paulie put up sumthin we dont like. waaa waaa. leave the man alone. he got enough probs. standin with ya pman.

ReggieAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8945676324950180664.post-36432441371600833672013-10-24T19:26:28.705-04:002013-10-24T19:26:28.705-04:00hey paulie thank you for pointing out what the bes...hey paulie thank you for pointing out what the best basketball program in the nation has to put up with every day there are a bunch of jelous folks out there and you can sit with me anytime at a uk game
i would like to meet that travis guy sometime and show him what real uk fans are about.

Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8945676324950180664.post-86173234591659813262013-10-24T19:14:05.853-04:002013-10-24T19:14:05.853-04:00I will attest to Paul's lack of hatred for UK....I will attest to Paul's lack of hatred for UK. I am a lifelong UK fan and was one of Paul's four guys in his wedding. The best man was a Notre Dame fan. Two of us were UK fans. One was a UofL fan. I have taken Paul to several UK athletic events. He has been supportive of UK athletics. He once told he that former UK women's basketball player Victoria Dunlap was one of toughest, savvy and inspired players he had ever seen.

Don't toss stones at Paul. He busts his ass running this site every day and he's doing something no one else does. That is dedicating a site to UofL women's atheltics "98% of the time" as he said.

I'm a UK fan and I read it daily. If you have problems with the site, I suggest you avoid it.

Larry Williams (no relation to the former UofL hoops player)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8945676324950180664.post-75216913937329030952013-10-24T18:43:59.314-04:002013-10-24T18:43:59.314-04:00In respone to the comments and e-mails I have rece...In respone to the comments and e-mails I have received about Clay Travis' piece on Kentucky. I did post a disclaimer about it not reflecting the opinions or views of Cardinal Couple. I did provide the information on how readers could comment to the author's blog.

I did not post it to be considered humorous and I was not delivering a cheap shot to the University of Kentucky. Yes, I am a UofL fan. Have been since 1968. Some of my closest friends and associates are UK fans. I like to see UofL beat UK, but I have also attended numerous non-UofL related UK athletic events over the years and cheered for BIG BLUE.

The intent and purpose of running Mr. Clay's article was to present an article that would show how certain people perceive certain situations. I do not agree with many of the statements expressed in the article.

Nevertheless, it is a journalistic piece. One that has created quite a stir, obviously. I am not ashamed of running it. It created thought and that was the intent and purpose.

Censorship of journalism and press still goes on in parts of this world.

I appreciate the comments and reactions of those who responded to this article. The obvious story on the day was Shoni and her selection. Even if they got the year and height wrong in the official list. Only one person (so far) has mentioned that in comments. Four have in e-mails.

If I made you think, react and show emotion...then I've done my job. Once again, the article does not reflect the opionions and views of CARDINAL COUPLE. Reading it hopefully made you realize that...sometimes...people have alternative viewpoints and dispositions to athletic program and states.

Our purpose here 98% of the time is to promote the joy and excitement of women's sports at UofL. We do so largely ignored and without comment. When we present a different venue and direction, it is ironic that that gets the comments and "Hit" counts.

Paulie

-PaulieCardinal Couplehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10565155435705858363noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8945676324950180664.post-1550259653766493062013-10-24T16:12:21.256-04:002013-10-24T16:12:21.256-04:00On a lighter note, did you notice the Wooden list ...On a lighter note, did you notice the Wooden list has Shoni as a 5'6" Jr.? I can't believe you gave this small minded individual even a small bit of notoriety. People like that should be ignored and maybe, if we're lucky, they will just go away. I am no fan of BBN, and I am all for heated rivalries and the typical smack talk that comes with it, but this is beyond that. This is disrespectful of the people of Kentucky (which many of us are) and one negative stereotype piled on top of another negative stereotype. Just terrible. Guess I would have to ask the author but no reason to promote the misconceptions about UK and Kentucky in general. Cardinal Couple roots for UofL and, I believe, not against other teams. Sort of like cheering for our player to make the free throw but not against the opposing player. I want us to play well and to our full potential and win a game on merit because the other team is also playing well. Anyway, here is one vote against the article. vivianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10437538169497425364noreply@blogger.com
