Uni...True that, Joe.

Some news about lacrosse:

University of Louisville lacrosse continues fall play this weekend as they travel to Maryland, where they will square off against some of the nation's top programs over two days of competition.

On Saturday, the Cardinals compete at Tierney Field in Sparks, Md., the home of U.S. Lacrosse, and will meet three teams who qualified for the 2018 NCAA Tournament. Louisville plays Johns Hopkins at 9 a.m., Georgetown at 10 a.m. and concludes the day with Stanford at 12 p.m.

The Cardinals then head to Loyola University, where they will face off against Michigan at 10:40 a.m., Penn at 12:10 p.m., and 2018 NCAA semifinalist Maryland at 2:20 p.m. Louisville will play the full 60-minutes against Penn, while the games against Maryland and Michigan will be 30-minute contests with running clock.

Tessa Chad has paced the Cardinals through their first three games this fall. The senior attacker was Louisville's leading scorer against Ohio State last weekend and tallied 12 goals in the wins over Marquette and Butler.

The Cardinals will conclude the fall season on Oct. 20 at home, welcoming Vanderbilt, Indy and Montevallo to UofL Lacrosse Stadium.

PaulieCardinal Couplehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10565155435705858363noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8945676324950180664.post-48794352186392879862018-10-12T12:14:56.265-04:002018-10-12T12:14:56.265-04:00Japanese girl? I see Field Hockey as having the toughest task of the three tonight but the Cards have prepared well for this one and Justine will have the Flock pumped up for a chance to get a win over her former mentor. Should be a good one!

PaulieCardinal Couplehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10565155435705858363noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8945676324950180664.post-91081065506117417562018-10-12T10:07:24.776-04:002018-10-12T10:07:24.776-04:00My thoughts on the three games:
Field hockey need...My thoughts on the three games:

Field hockey needs to get this win. ACC road wins are hard to come by so this could be the final conference victory this year. A win over one of the best teams in the country is sure to boost the already-high rpi. Coach Sowry always preaches about the difficulties of getting into the NCAA Tournament and this is a great resume builder.

Women’s soccer could solidify a spot in the eight-team ACC Tournament with a win (15 conference points). Having 11 wins on the year with a chance to add a couple more would also be great for a program that hasn’t seen the NCAA Tournament since moving to Lynn Stadium. The talent is there and this team is fun to watch.

Volleyball is definitely in a trap game. Multiple reasons made Wednesday night exciting and a highlight match on the year. Tonight marks the fourth match in eight days, which can wear down a depleted roster from injuries. The comfort of Cardinal arena will hopefully settle the Cards early. The advantage here is that Louisville has experience in five-setters by now.

Let’s hope everyone gets wins tonight! Sadly, I’ll miss out on all the action. Hoping the Cards can exorcise those Demons and Devils in their contests. I'll be watching with a plate full of tacos at home, nursing a sore back from a foolish, improper attempt at moving a huge box.

Interesting on Walz recruiting. Who knows? For sure, never doubt Coach's ability to find and develop the talent. Best in the land at that.

Curtis "Lift with your legs, not your back, dummy" FranklinAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
